My spiritual experience in Ubud, Bali

The sacred land of healing. I, like everyone else, came to Ubud for some yoga and to seek for something more spiritual.  Bali has sent a strong energy my way this summer…… so here I go packing my bags for a relaxing 2 week spiritual vacation.

I stayed at the Blooming Lotus Yoga which was in Ubud, in the middle of the beautiful jungle near the river.  Meditating to the sounds of nature, overlooking the lush greenery was just heavenly.

Lisa and Dan, who led the classes, taught me how to focus inward.   After just 2 days, I felt the benefits from this by clearing space in the mind.  In the end, I felt peace and acceptance... just what I was looking for.

During practice, Lisa used a meditation bowl at the start and end of each class.  I LOVE the sound of the singing bowl as the vibration it gives off sounds so pure and happy.  This led me to search for a meditation singing bowl in Ubud.  Ubud is a land for yogis, so this task was relatively simple.

Since returning back home, I’ve incorporated a small meditation area. Walking past this set up everyday reminds me of the beautiful land of Bali.  This is my corner of happiness and peace.  I am so grateful to not only have brought back sacred objects, but have incorporated the beautiful practice of meditation into my daily life.

Tip for all who travel:  Bring back something for your home that reminds you of your travels.  As we are constantly changing with new experiences, so should our homes evolve with us.

In my corner of happiness, I have added the sarong that was blessed in the holy water (tied onto the table), the metal singing bowl, incense holder, my crying buddha given to me by my sweet yoga friend, the eye mask from the Pyramids of Chi (a sound healing center), and the whimsical dreamcatcher hung from the ceiling.
